MOL PSX Service Calls at DaChan Bay Terminals

06 September 2008

With the arrival of MOL’s Pacific Southwest Express (PSX) service on September 6, DaChan Bay Terminals will become a port of call for service from North America.

The PSX service will make weekly calls on the DaChan Bay Terminals, deploying five vessels with an average capacity of 5,600 TEUs. The PSX port rotation via Tokyo is as follows:

Xiamen - DaChan Bay Terminals - Hong Kong - Yantian - Oakland - Los Angeles - Oakland - Tokyo

This will be MOL’s second service to call at the DaChan Bay, following its Africa service launched in June 2008. Andrew Milliken, Chief Executive Officer of DaChan Bay Terminals, states, “MOL is one of the three largest shipping lines in Japan with more than 100 years’ history. The Terminal’s successful cooperation with MOL is evidence to the market that DaChan Bay Terminals is ready to provide full service to customers. Once lines take the first step in experiencing DaChan Bay Terminals services, they will gain confidence in the Terminal and come back with more services to the world’s various foreign trade partners of South China.”
