"K" Line Upgrades Its Intra-Asia Service By Adding Call At DaChan Bay in South China

10 April 2012

Customers using the Intra- Asia service (JABCO-2) operated by KAWASAKI KISEN KAISHA, LTD ("K" Line) will benefit from direct connection between South China and Thailand/ Vietnam trade lanes, with the addition of DaChan Bay Terminals, to the service loop effective in early May.

"K" Line upgrades this efficient and high quality Intra-Asia Service (JABCO-2) by adding additional call at DaChan Bay, which is the newest and first-class container terminal in West Shenzhen.  Therefore, customers importing goods from Japan to China not only enjoy more choices of service strings but also convenient customs clearance environment at DaChan Bay.

DaChan Bay Terminal One is happy to see that “K” Line has chosen DaChan Bay as business partner in support of its market growth here in South China, a region of increasing strategic significance.  Our proven “on-boarding” programme for new service ensures seamless cooperation across sectors for customer lines, including customs clearance, terminal efficiency and barge connectivity.

Users of DaChan Bay enjoy unparalleled barge connectivity, and thus much lower logistics cost, to West Pearl River Delta.  DaChan Bay’s proximity to the manufacturing base and deployment of a full fleet of electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes also means much reduced carbon footprint in transporting cargoes in and out of South China.

"K" Line deploys four ships with an average carrying capacity of 1,700 TEUs for JABCO-2.

There will be weekly calls at DaChan Bay Terminals every Saturday, following a port rotation of Tokyo - Nagoya - Osaka - Kobe - Moji - Shanghai - DaChan Bay - Ho Chi Minh - Laem Chabang - Ho Chi Minh - Tokyo.
