Maruba Opens South America Service At DaChan Bay Terminals, Shenzhen

01 February 2010

DaChan Bay Terminals welcomed the independent South America Service of Maruba on 30 January as the latest addition to the ever-increasing number of services that call this newest and first-class container terminal facility in West Shenzhen.  This service of Maruba, an Argentine container shipping company, is the first string in the South America trade lane to offer weekly sailings at DaChan Bay.

Mr. Andrew Milliken, Chief Executive of DaChan Bay Terminals, said: “We are delighted and enthusiastic to serve the ever-increasing number of liner shipping services that call our terminal facility.

DaChan Bay is strategically-located in Bao’an, Shenzhen, providing an unparallel connectivity to cargo catchment areas in both Western and Eastern Pearl River Delta (PRD).”

Supported by bonded logistics facilities in the terminal vicinity, coupled with an excellent network of expressways, DaChan Bay Terminals ensures an efficient trucking solution between the terminal and manufacturing areas in Eastern Pearl River Delta.

DaChan Bay Terminals also offers a well developed barge network to provide customers a distinct opportunity to capture new cargo catchment areas as factories migrate inland and to the west of the PRD.

“Delivery by barge from West PRD to DaChan Bay will result in lower carbon emission and lower logistics cost,” Mr. Milliken added.
