DaChan Bay Terminals signed an MOU with South-China International Logistics Center (SILC) yesterday for cooperation on “facilitating logistics flow” in south China, paving the way for future cooperation on forming Da Chan Bay- SILC fast logistics service system to enhance competitive advantages of both parties in South China.

According to the MOU, both parties will cooperate on investigation and development in the establishment of "Port and Bonded Logistics Center integration" and "Inland port" model to form a new fast logistics service system which involves setting relevant procedures and coordinating with respective stakeholders. Both parties will also make joint efforts in marketing activities.

SILC is the major project of Longhua Logistics Park-one of the 7 biggest logistics parks in Shenzhen. It opened “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Logistics Green Channel” in May 2006 and “Cross-border Fast Custom Clearance” in October 2008.  Since then, transshipment goods from Hong Kong had been checked and released in the Green Channel automatically in Huanggang, which realized the aim of “No-barricade Customs Clearance”.  Both the “Green Channel” and “Cross-border Fast Custom Clearance” initiatives increased the competitive advantages of SILC obviously and attracted famous logistics and warehouse enterprises to settle in the center, which brought along fast growth of SILC’s container and warehouse businesses.

SILC is a good logistics facility in support of DaChan Bay Terminals. The DaChan Bay-SILC fast logistics service modal is believed to be mutual beneficial to both parties through providing shippers more convenient and fast transportation and customs clearance services.
