DaChan Bay Terminals Hands Over X-Ray Container Inspection System

30 July 2009

An inspection meeting was held for DaChan Bay Custom’s acceptance of DaChan Bay Terminals' (the terminal) large-size X-Ray container inspection equipment at the terminal yesterday afternoon. DaChan Bay Customs will adopt this X-Ray inspection system for container inspection at the terminal. Mr. Shi Fusheng, Deputy Commissioner of Shenzhen Customs presented at and delivered a speech on the meeting.

The equipment was approved by General Administration of Customs of the PRC and invested by DaChan Bay Terminals with DaChan Bay Customs as the end user. Total capital investment for the equipment is about 28 million RMB, including fabrication, installation, commissioning and supporting facilities. The project started site engineering on April 4 2009 and installation finished on July 15, and it is planned to be put into operation in the near future.

This new advanced X-Ray machine will simplify the inspection process and shorten the inspection time to bring more efficient and convenient inspection services to the customers. Rigorous testing has shown that the X-Ray inspection system provides highly efficient and accurate results during the inspection. The whole process takes about 3 minutes without opening the container and dangerous goods and illegal goods can be detected precisely.
