An award ceremony of the DaChan Bay Terminals “Environmental Protection around Me” Children Drawing Competition was held successfully at the Bao An Art Gallery this afternoon. Some 346 children prize winners from all the primary schools of Bao An received various awards.

This competition was jointly hosted by DaChan Bay Terminals (The Company), Shenzhen Bao An Painting Association, Shenzhen Bao An Literature and Art Association and Shenzhen Bao An Education and Training Center. Over 1,000 pieces of drawings in various formats such as painting, canvas, Chinese painting, aquarelle, charcoal, computer graphics, paper-cutting, etc. were collected and 346 drawings selected as the prize winners from September to November.  Among them 12 winners were selected for the first prize and their drawings have been published respectively in the former pages of the Terminal’s 2009 calendar. The 70 second prize winners and 264 third prize winners were listed in the next few pages of the calendar.

All these 346 drawings will be exhibited in Bao An Art Gallery in late November and some of them will be displayed in the Control Tower of DaChan Bay Terminals from mid December 2008.

This activity is in accordance with DaChan Bay Terminals’s commitment to environmental sustainability by making environmental considerations an integral part of the Company’s culture and decision-making. The purpose is to raise environmental awareness of both employees and the community.
